Cluster
In the tourism sector, the cluster identifies a tourist offer aimed at a specific target; conversely, it identifies a certain type of tourism interested in a specific offer. The Lazio region used this term in the notice published in Bulletin no. 13 on February 11, 2021, issued to encourage the establishment of Destination Management Organizations (DMO).
By "Area," it intended to identify a vast territory with a recognized identity. Nine have been identified in Lazio. Ciociaria is one of them. In an Area, there can be multiple DMOs. Each DMO can promote tourism for multiple clusters. Neighboring DMOs can share common actions aimed at the same Clusters.
In Terra dei Cammini, multiple DMOs coexist. The main Clusters, that is, the types of tourism expected to be welcomed, are those interested in Archaeology, Saints, Castles, Memory, and Walking Paths. However, those we prefer are the ones that choose our territory because they know that here they can enjoy a varied and integrated tourism offer. The Way of St. Benedict satisfies a specific cluster, that of pilgrims/walkers, but it is, at the same time, a means that, allowing one to traverse the territory, offers the opportunity for those who travel it to discover the treasures it holds, addressing the need for knowledge of those who "set out on a journey."
